If you’re like us and have been dreaming of having your feet in the sand, a splash in the sea and eating ice cream along the shore then a beach holiday must be next on your plans!
After the last few year’s we have all had, we all deserve a gorgeous beach holiday where you don’t have to worry about anything other than when to apply your next set of sun-cream. What’s great about the UK is that there are some gorgeous beaches screaming out for you to visit, and they are only a couple hours drive away. You could be at the beach in no time!
Before you go, you need to pack your bag with all the essentials you’ll need for that perfect beach trip. From bags, cover-ups, SPF… we’ve compiled the items that you shouldn’t go without so that you have a seamless trip and keep you and your family/friends safe and comfortable.

Swimsuit or bikini
What is your go to swimwear? Whether it be a swimsuit or a bikini, you need to make sure you have it available for your trip to the beach. Is it stuffed in a drawer somewhere from the last time you went to the beach? Or in your gym bag from your last swimming session? Make sure that whatever it is you are wanting to wear is clean, dry, and will last in the sea, and on the beach!

Sun-cream
This is the most important item to take with you to the beach. Not only will it protect your skin from sunburn, but it also helps to moisturize and protect from any sun ray damage. Make sure you take enough sun-cream to last you the entire day at the beach, and if you are going with friends or family, make sure that they have some too! You need to reapply regularly, especially if you are going in the sea because it can wash off really quickly.
Beach cover-up
Perfect in so many ways! Having a beach cover-up means that you can pop it on if a breeze picks up, or if you just want to give your skin a little break from the sun. This is also a must have because if you want to go for some food at the beach café, or fancy a stroll along the pier, then having a stylish cover-up will keep you protected and looking amazing!

Sunglasses

If you want to be able to see when you are at the beach, instead of being blinded by the sun rays then you need to pack sunglasses.. maybe even a spare one in case something accidentally happens to one pair (think falling off in the sea, sitting on them.).

Beach towels
You can’t always guarantee that the beach you are going to will have some loungers available, with towels that you can hire too. Taking some beach towels of your own that are lightweight is the perfect answer! You don’t want to arrive at the beach and realize that you are going to have to sit in the direct sand all day do you!
Grab beach towels that are big enough to lie down on and that are soft on your skin as you don’t want to cause any irritation. Just fold up your towels and pop them in your beach bag for a perfect place to sunbathe and eat ice cream!
Beach bag
This is a must have! You need a place to put all of your accessories, sun cream, towels, and personal items which is why you need to take a beach bag. A bag that has been designed to carry all of these items, whilst staying in perfect condition from the sun, sand, and sea is exactly what you need!
No more taking wasteful carrier bags to the beach and praying it doesn’t rip or get blown away. Stay away from lugging big rucksacks to the beach which leave you with weird tan lines, and a bad back!
